How do you hydrate dried morels?
Morels are special mushrooms that have to be dried with great care as they can give off a certain toxicity.
The morels should be completely immersed in water and boiled for at least 30 minutes until fully cooked. Then add to any dish or stew. Discard the cooking water.
Once hydrated, they can be used as if they were fresh and they’ll increase to about 10 times the size. (10g dried mushrooms = 100g fresh mushrooms).
